K9 Club is an upscale urban pet center offering dog and cat daycare, boarding, grooming and retail. The newly constructed 10,000 square-foot facility is designed and operated with pet health and safety as the primary focus. K9 Club made substantial investments in many aspects of the building and processes to minimize the overall environmental impact. The project is expected to be LEED certified.
To support K9 Club’s vision for an environmentally sound facility, Michigan Air Products provided a VRF Heat Recovery system manufactured by Samsung HVAC. The highly efficient space conditioning system realizes a significantly lower overall operating cost when compared to traditional overhead VAV systems. The VRF system provides individualized comfort control with the capability of simultaneous heating and cooling based on specific zone settings and loads within the building. Each zone is controlled by state-of-the art Samsung HVAC wall-mounted touch screen monitors.
Samsung HVAC indoor 4-Way ceiling cassettes, ducted fan coil units, Greenheck Fan Corporation louvers and zone control dampers provide optimal fresh air throughout the facility and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for pet daycare, boarding, and grooming.
