The 51,000-square foot Michigan State Police Forensics Laboratory is part of the new seven story state-of-the-art public safety headquarters in Detroit. The research facility was specifically designed to provide services including controlled substances analysis, body fluid examination, and firearm examination to police departments located in Southeast Michigan. Michigan Air Products partnered with the project engineers in the early stages of the design and worked closely with them to educate the team on the Price Critical Controls laboratory solution. The general office space designs use Price thermostats that integrate motion sensors to provide occupied/unoccupied set-point control while Price Tracking Controllers are used to provide pressure control using volumetric offset between the supply and exhaust venturi valves. Michigan Air Products provided full onsite start-up and commissioning services. We worked closely with the engineers, project managers, and our certified technicians.
Michigan Air Products provided Armstrong pumps, Nortec Humidifiers, ABB Variable Frequency Drives, Nexus Valves for the coil hook ups/balancing valves and Price Critical Control valves, Lab controls and reheat coils serving the Venturi valves.
