Little Caesars Arena in The District Detroit serves as the home of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons and countless other sports, entertainment and community events. The arena features state-of-the-art technology, fan amenities, and active community spaces. In June 2018, the arena was named "Sports Facility of the Year" at the 2018 Sports Business Awards.
The fast track nature of the LCA Project combined with challenging site logistics made this unique project a natural opportunity for team construct and MAP’s technical expertise in the Air and Mechanical space. Extensive engineering and coordination was required, along with an extremely tight fabrication schedule to assure the arena would be fully functional for Kid Rock’s opening night.
The Project includes four (4) 25,000 pound plus factory-fabricated Armstrong Fluid Technology pumping skids for Chilled Water, Condenser Water, Heat Rejection, and Primary Heating systems. The arena houses thousands of other best-in-class products from over 15 of MAP’s leading manufacturers including vibration isolation products from Mason-Mercer, Sound Attenuators, Terminal Units and GRD’s from Price Industries, Fabric Air Dispersion from Ductsox, Fan Coil Units from International Environmental Corporation, Fans, Fire Dampers and Combination Fire-Smoke Dampers from Greenheck Fan Corporation, Pressure Stack from Metal-Fab, and Electric Heaters from Markel to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for the thousands in attendance at the arena.
