Heat Pipe Technology (HPT) was founded in 1983 with a grant from the DOE to research new applications for passive heat pipe technology. As a direct result of this research both dehumidification and energy recover was greatly increased when applied to HVAC systems.
After further research was done under contract for NASA, HPT was able to lower the manufacturing costs significantly and bring this technology to the mainstream.
HPT has used the knowledge gained during these research projects to provide end-users a product that yields a rapid return on investment, often in as little as (1) year.
With several high-profile installations (Walt Disney World, Kennedy Space Center, US Military) and an innovative staff of engineers and installation experts, HPT has positioned themselves as the unquestioned leader in the commercial HVAC heat pipe industry.
